Student Summer Party
Ewan Morris
Basking in glorious sunshine beneath the leafy avenues of the Walks, students marked the close of exam season with an afternoon of croquet and camaraderie. The light-hearted competition was suitably accompanied by the gentle clink of glasses – champagne flowing with celebratory ease.

As the sun dipped, the festivities transitioned into a dinner that echoed the same spirited warmth. In a subtle departure from tradition, the customary port gave way to limoncello – a toast not only to academic achievement but to the summer’s golden temperament.
My thanks in particular go to Master Oscar Del Fabbro for his encouragement to make use of the Walks for the croquet and member Curtis Crowley for his help setting up the croquet (and acting as a sole arbitrator for rulesbased disputes arising on the night from the competition!). As with all events, it was only possible with the work of the wonderful Giulia and Barbara from Events.
Student Law Journal
Jennifer Zhou
The 2025 Student Law Journal (Volume XVII) is now available online. Published annually, the Journal showcases outstanding writing from members of the Inn; the editorial team was pleased to receive a large volume of submissions this year. The published entries reflect the diversity of interests in the student body, covering topics from unlawful foreign surrogacy to mental health legislation for autism. Winners of the Inn’s essay prizes – Beloff, Lee, and Gide – were also published. A print copy of the Journal can be accessed in the Library.
The Journal is an AGIS project, written and edited by student members. Information on how to be involved in next year’s issue will be announced via the student mailing list.
